  1. What are the postage charges?
    We only charge the exact amount that Australia Post charges.

  2. How do we sell fabric?
    Generally fabric is sold in 25cm lots, if you would like 1 metre in the quantity box you would put 4, if you would like 1.5 metres you would put 6 in the quantity box. Fabrics in the clearance category are sold per metre as they have been heavily discounted and are a real bargain. If you want 1 metre of sale fabric then you would leave a 1 in the quantity box if you would like 3.5 metres then you would put 4 in the quantity box as we only sell this fabric by the metre.

  3. What fabric do we sell?
    The majority of the fabric we sell is 100% good quality quilters cotton of a medium weight. All fabric sold are bought from leading and well known manufactures where you can be assured of the quality. Some of the fabrics we sell may be a textured cotton or chenille, however in these events the fabric will always be fully labelled as to their fabric properties before purchase is made

  4. Are fabric colours accurate?
    Fabric colours are represented as accurately as possible to true to life colours. We use a standardised grading system when importing our fabrics, however the quality of your screen colours may alter the images slightly.

  5. Do the fabrics need pre washing?
    The majority of our fabrics have been pre-washed by the manufactures, however if you are worried about colour bleeding then we suggest you do a test or if your teacher or instructions specify fabrics need to be washed we recommend you follow their instructions.

  6. Is there a guarantee on the sewing machines?
    There is a factory warranty on all new sewing machines purchased through Busy Bee Sewing. Mechanical machines receive a one year warranty and computerised machines receive a 5 year warranty on computer parts and one year on mechanics, further details can be found on the warranty card you receive with your machine purchase. Should your machine require warranty service you will need to return the machine back to us, if you require further assistance please contact us.

  7. What if I don't understand the instructions in a pattern I buy?
    If you buy a Busy Bee Sewing pattern and need help with the instructions we off a free help service via email, simply email us with you question and we will get back to you with extra help, all Busy Bee Sewing patterns are designed by our team, and they are ready to help with whatever questions you have. If you purchase a pattern by another designer we still offer as much help as we can, however the instructions and design have not been made by the Busy Bee team

  8. Can I get a refund or exchange an item?
    Yes An intent to return an item must be notified to us within 14 days of receiving your order by either email or telephone. Returns are accepted only in the case of prior authorisation. In the case of the incorrect product being ordered or delivered the products must be in perfect condition, unopened and in packaging. You may wish to exchange an item with another one of the same value. Returns of sewing machines, sale items, and fabrics can not be accepted unless faulty. Shipment cost cannot be refunded except in the case of the incorrect product being sent the cost for re-sending an item is free. We recommend purchasing insurance since we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged returns. We cannot guarantee that your package will not be damaged upon arrival to your address. Any damaged or incomplete shipments must be reported within 48 hours of receipt of the products. If a product arrives looking damaged then please immediately file a claim with the carrier and save all original packing material for inspection

  9. How does the Machine Servicing work?
    Simply order your pickup time from the Machine Servicing category and go through the checkout. In the checkout it will ask your shipping method, just choose Pickup for $0 and continue. Write your preferred return delivery time in the comments of your order.
